Question about the J.Crew Jackie

Do you guys order your normal "J.Crew size" when you order a Jackie cardigan? I have a few of them in XS, and they are a little tight on the arms, but other than that, they fit fine. Do you have this issue? I believe I tried a S on once, and it looked too big, but I am trying to remember. I may just run to a store before ordering the ones on final sale, but I thought I would ask you guys first!
Thanks!

Is it Friday yet???

This weekend the hubby and I are hitting the beach for some R &R! It's supposed to be a hot one, so I am very excited! I am picking up my copy of Twenties Girl tonight so that I will have a beach read!! I will review it once I'm done.
I cannot wait!

Any exciting weekend plans?

OPI Ladies and Magenta-men

Since it's summer and all, I thought I would try a bright & fun summer nail color. So I picked OPI's Ladies and Magenta-Men. Here's what it looks like:

(and yes I know I have freakishly long nail beds)
I was bored at work so I decided to snap a picture and do a post, which is why you can see my desk in the background)
I like this color. It may be better suited for toes, but it's still a fun color (if you like bright pink!).

J.Crew makes me wish it were already fall because. . .

-Fall fashion is my favorite
-I will have my puppy!

j.crew
Thanks to everyone for their input on the j.crew dress. Unfortunately J.Crew made the decision for me - a few minutes later the dress disappeared from my cart, so someone else must have pulled the trigger while I was debating it. Oh well, it wasn't meant to be. I did happen to pop into a J.Crew store today. There wasn't much left in the sale section, but I did score the navy cafe capris and a cute pair of short for a total of $35. Not too bad! I'll update later with a picture of the shorts, they are still in the trunk of my car (I didn't want to bring them past the hubby, we are supposed to be saving money :) ). Did anyone else visit J.Crew this weekend? I noticed new corsage tees in different colors! They aren't on sale, they are $30, but I don't see them online. They had white, teal, peach, bright pink, and dark grey. I am pretty tempted to pick up either the teal or the hot pink. I wish they didn't start at $30 though! Plus all the new fall items coming tomorrow, it is going to be dangerous!! It's hard to think of fall when it's 100+ degrees here in L.A. Fall is my favorite season though, so bring it on! I hope everyone had a great weekend!!

UPDATE: Here are the shorts I scored:

Does anyone have this dress?

Is it worth it? Should I go for it? It is final sale.
Thanks!

J.Crew Sale Items

Did anyone else take advantage of the J.Crew sale?? Well I definitely did! Here are the items I picked up:

j.crew sale
I have wanted the corsage tee for a while, but decided to wait for it to go on sale. So I picked that up. They only had the light purple in my size, which isn't the color I originally wanted, but for 20% off of 19.99, I picked it up anyway. It's still a nice color, especially for summer. I had ordered the cotton ruffle tank earlier in white, so I decided to get the stone and navy colors as well. Plus J.Crew gave me a price adjustment on the white since it's now on sale. Score! I love their cafe capris, so I got them in white and a light pink. I'd call my shopping trip a success!

Happy Weekend Everyone!!

Happy Weekend! Sorry I've been away lately, the hubby and I are in full-blown puppy-proofing mode over here!!! We found some breeders that will have chocolate lab puppies soon, so they won't be able to go home for another 2 months. . it will be hard to wait, but it will give us time to prepare the house. Luckily we have a yard that he can play in, but we have to prepare the inside. Any advice? I know I need to keep my new Chanel flats far far FAR away from him while he is teething :)

I'll updated more soon! I will also show you what I bought at the J.Cre final sale!

Update on the dog post

After much discussion and research this weekend, it seems like the hubby and I will be getting a lab puppy!! We are thinking about getting a chocolate, but we aren't 100% decided on the color. We will probably aim to bring him home in September (since a litter born now would be ready to come home around then). I will keep you posted :)

Must Love Dogs. . . .

I've wanted a dog for a long time, and I think my hubby is finally coming around and ready to get one! YAY! We both agree that we want a bigger breed of dog. But we are still having a hard time deciding what breed we want. Here are some of our top picks right now:

Does anyone have any advice, tips, etc? Do you have any of these breeds? Any other recommendations?

My J.Crew Purchase

So I gave in and purchased the J.Crew Cotton Ruffle Tank in white. I had to order it with the red phone, so I paid full price for it without trying it on. But I am VERY glad I did! It came in the mail today and I LOVE it! I can't wait to wear it with my J.Crew toothpick ankle jeans! There are so many outfit possibilities with this piece. I ordered the top in Stone today since it was on sale. I think these tops are perfect for summer!
Did you all order anything from the J.Crew sale?

Trip Recap: City # 4 - London

I just realized that I forgot to do a recap of the last city I visited in Europe: LONDON!! When we arrived in London from Paris (via train, which was really neat), it was pouring down rain. Actually, it was hailing. I was a little worried, but it only rained/hailed for 20-30 minutes, and then it was sunny out. The rest of the trip, it was about 75 degrees there. Perfect in my opinion. Again, we saw so much in London: The London Tower, The London Bridge, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, the changing of the guards, Big Ben, Picadilly, a lot of shopping, etc. I thought London was a really fun city. It was definitely expensive, but worth visiting. Here are some London pictures for you!

The London Tower

The Changing of the Guard

Big Ben
So that completes my trip recap! I had such a fabulous time, it was hard to come home!! Now I can start planning for next year's trip! If you have any questions or want tips, feel free to leave a comment or e-mail me!

The Last Week & the Holiday Weekend

Sorry I've been MIA for a while- last week I was sent to Madison, GA for the week. Has anyone ever been to Madison? It is a gorgeous, historical, southern city. It is small, but very cool. It was my first trip to the South, so I didn't really know what to expect. Work was pretty busy, so I didn't have a lot of time to explore. But I did come home with about 20 bug bites :(
When I came back, we had company in town for the 4th of July. I didn't have any time to relax or prepare for the weekend unfortunately, so it was a hectic week. We went to the beach for the 4th. The weather was perfect!!! It was about 70 degrees every day. Very lovely. I did get a little sunburnt on my legs, but oh well, it happens every summer - the first sunburn of the summer!
All and all, the holiday weekend was fun. However, there were some not so fun things too. . .
- My feet are both sunburnt and bug bitten. Last night I noticed that they are a little swollen. I thing it's the combination of the two, along with flying to Georgia and back. They are a little less swolllen today, so hopefully they are a little better tomorrow too.
- Okay, so here is where I need to vent. So the people staying with are us my husbands friend from college and his wife. We have known them for a while (since college of course). However, his wife and I tend to clash a little. Not necessary fight, but maybe just have very different personalities. I usually can handle her when we go out for nights, but I don't think I have ever spent this much time with her. I am trying very hard, but I am going bonkers here. She is very pushy and needy, and she always complains. Also, she decided to come to my house and start baking for the dinner we were going to at my in-laws' house! It was like she was trying to show me up in front of them since I didn't have time to cook!! I would never go to someone else's house and make myself at home in her kitchen without asking first!!! AHHHH! She definitely likes to be in control and the center of attention. Luckily the weekend is over now. But it was hard to handle, which is why I am venting now!! Sorry about that :)

I hope everyone had a great 4th of July! I can't believe it's already July!
