I know that I have mentioned this before, but it is just now starting to sink in: In about 3 weeks, I am going on a European vacation! I have a lot going on between now and then, so I trying to start thinking ahead of time about what I need to bring! For those of you who have done a long Europe trip, any advice? What do I absolutely need to bring? Leave at home? We will be visiting 4 different countries, so I can't overpack with all the traveling we will be doing. I need help!

How exciting! Definitely bring dictionaries and travel books. They help so much!
ReplyDeleteHmmm.. ive been to Italy, Paris, and London. I would suggest bringing a mini umbrella in case of rain, some comfy shoes because heels get stuck in the streets, sunglasses, an adaptor for any chargers, a small bag to travel with and a smile... enjoy!! xxoo

ReplyDeleteI hope you'll be posting somne pictures during your vacation from time to time! Make sure you bring a good adaptor that you can change depending on the country. Sometimes the ones in the US say Europe, but actually in Western Europe there are three main plug sizes,UK, 2 prong small, and 2 prong large. Do not bring tennis shoes, take flats instead (bonus- they take up less room!) Weather can be cold in the morning, hot in the afternoon, cold again, so I reccomend to dress in layers. A purse that zips shut so no one can reach in it in a crowded metro and you can keep close to your body in the cities as unfortunately tourists are a target. I lived for awhile in Barrio Gothico in Barcelona in a rough neighborhood and every night from my apartment I could hear at least two americans yelling "my purse...!!" from my window. Sad but true! You will have a fantastic time- enjoy!

ReplyDeleteI think you should bring alot of basics and layers, check out what the weather will be like and plan accordingly! The last thing you want to do is overpack and pay some crazy luggage fee!
