I still have 2 weeks before we get him! It took us about 45 minutes to pick ours puppy out! It was much harder than I expected! I am so excited!

Crazy Week

I am sorry that I have been a bad blogger this week - work has been super crazy! A lot of drama going on, nothing that directly involves me thank God, but I still have to hear and see it all! UGH! Luckily, after tomorrow at 3, my weekend begins and I am off to Portland for the weekend! I am very excited to relax, enjoy some pumpkin lattes, and do some tax-free shopping! And guess what? To top off the weekend, Sunday when I get home I am. . . . . .

MEETING MY PUPPY! As soon as we land, the hubby and I are off to visit our breeder, play with the puppies, and pick ours out! I will post pictures on Sunday when I get home!!

I CANNOT wait for football to start this weekend!!! I love drinking a warm pumpkin spice latte on cool, crisp fall mornings while watching football in my college sweatshirt. This weekend is the beginning of pro football, so I am getting my sweatshirts ready!

Also, our breeder finally sent me some puppy pictures! Here is one - isn't he gorgeous! We get to meet the puppies a week from Sunday!!

Mentally Packing

In a few weeks, the hubby and I are taking a trip up to Portland, OR for the weekend! I am so excited for (hopefully) some cooler weather! I am already mentally packing! September in OR can be iffy - it can still be hot, or it can be cool. So I am planning to pack for cooler weather for now, and if it ends up being hot up there, I will change my plans. But I'm guessing it's more likely to be cool than hot. Maybe it will be cool enough to enjoy a pumpkin latter :)
Here is what I am thinking about taking:

My falling ruffles tank is an ivory color, but I couldn't find that. Also, I have to be honest. I don't own the J.Crew Lombard sweater, but I plan on leaving Portland with it :). Oh and the sweatshirt I bring will be my college (which is not Notre Dame).

Guess what's back??

It's that time again! Pumpkin spice lattes are here at Starbucks! I couldn't bring myself to order one this morning because it was already 80 degrees (at 7:30 am!!!!). Please get cool so I can enjoy one!

Updates

Happy Sunday. I hope everyone is enjoying their weekends! I just wanted to post some updated to previous posts.

First, thank you for your advice on the nude pumps. For some reason, I was having a really difficult time deciding between the two!! And the funny thing is, if I had just ordered one pair, I would have been happy with either pair! It's so true that the more options I have, the tougher the decision! I decided to keep the leather pair. I figured they would suit my life style better (work, etc.). But I would recommend either pair to anyone!!

Second, my chocolate lab puppy is now just over 3 weeks old. I can't wait for the weekend we can bring him home! For now we are trying to stay busy and are preparing the house for Winston's arrival! When he is 6 weeks old, we get to visit and pick out OUR puppy, so I will take plenty of pictures that weekend to post.

Also, guess what popped back in my size on the J.Crew website? This shirt:





I had accepted the fact that I would probably never own it, since it flew off the shelves at all stores, and purchased this one instead:


Once I receive the contrast-stitch shirt, I will have to some how decide between the two! I will post pictures once it arrives.
On Friday, I stopped into my local J.Crew to see some new items. I left with the cadet funnelneck cardigan and the whirling ruffles cardigan in the buff pink. I will post pictures, but since it's over 100 degrees here right now, I can't bring myself to put on the sweaters!

Weekend Review

Happy Sunday everyone. I hope you had a great weekend! I had a pretty busy one. Friday night the hubby and I just hung out at home. We usually don't have much steam come Friday night after a long, busy week at work. So we rented some movies and hung out around the house.

Saturday, we went to a baseball game. It was a lot of fun, even though it was pretty hot out. After the game, we met some friends at a fun Mexican restaurant for some drinks. Here is what I wore out for drinks:

I got the dress at the J.Crew outlet back in May. The belt is from Banana Republic, and the gladiator sandals are from Nine West (got them last summer). I LOVE these sandals and will be very sad when they die :(

In preparation for fall, I picked up some jodhpur clips to clip on my jeans when I wear boots over my jeans. Here are some pictures:

I got these clips at a nearby equestrian store for only $3.50 for a pair. I have a feeling these will be very handy in the fall to help avoid the bunchy jeans syndrome.

Which pair do I keep???

Okay, I need your help! I recently ordered 2 pairs of Nine West Rocha pumps - one in a patent taupe, and one in a leather taupe (I was looking for that perfect pair of nude pumps to add to my collection). I got them both today, and I can't decide which ones to keep!
